Types of braces system

Braces works by applying continuous pressure on the teeth, gradually directing them into the correct position. This is done using brackets and an arch.
Braces sticks directly on teeth. They can be metallic, ceramic or sapphire. The arch passes through braces and direct teeth movement. Depending on teeth condition, you may need combination of different devices to adjust the position of your teeth and jaws. Our orthodontist can determine and inform you about this additional functions during consultation.

Braces fixation

The fixation lasts approximately 30-40 minutes. The dentist sticks the braces (metallic or ceramic locks), threads the arch and fix it. During this process the dentist takes before and after photos to demonstrate the results.

By the way, it’s absolutely painless! The same feelings as during plumbing the tooth. You can feel a little bit discomfort after fixation, but you get used to it during next few days. You can see happy owner of ceramic braces on the photo. They are almost invisible on teeth, stronger and reliable.

Retainers

You should remember that orthodontic treatment isn’t over yet after removing the braces. Even after your teeth have been correctly aligned and the braces have been removed, they still have potential get back to previous positions, but installation of retainer helps to keep alignment of your teeth, until the ligaments and bone tissue around the tooth roots fully stabilize. Aligners
