Wisdom Teeth Removal
Your wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, are the last set of adult teeth to emerge, typically between the ages of 17 to 25. Many people need to have their wisdom teeth removed to prevent pain, infection, and other oral health issues. We are happy to assist you with the extraction of wisdom teeth of any complexity.
When Should Wisdom Teeth Be Removed?
Early removal is generally recommended between ages 16 and 21. However, everyone is unique, and wisdom teeth develop at different times and rates. Ideally, wisdom teeth should be extracted before the roots fully develop.
This helps the dentist minimize risks and complications involving nearby structures, including inferior alveolar nerve, lingual nerve, and jaw sinuses.
Recovery Time
Recovery after wisdom tooth removal typically takes 3-4 days, but in some cases, it may be shorter or up to one week, depending on the situation. Following our post-operative care instructions will help minimize recovery time.
